FIELD TRIP
Field Trip to Kerala Arts & Crafts Village, Vellar As part of the B.Ed curriculum, students and teachers of GCTE, Thycaud visited the Kerala Arts and Crafts Village, Vellar, Kovalam. The trip offered a unique opportunity to explore Kerala’s rich artistic heritage. We reached the campus at 9.45 a.m., received a warm welcome, and were introduced to the village through an informative video. Managed by ULCCS under the Kerala Tourism Department, the eight-and-a-half-acre village aims to preserve and promote traditional crafts while supporting artisans. Guided in groups, we explored the beautifully landscaped campus and began with the Emporium, which showcased 3D artworks, wooden and metal crafts, marble pieces, softwood crafts, international artefacts, bags, lamps, and décor items.
