  COMPUTER VIRUS INTRODUCTION In the modern digital era, where computers, smartphones, and the internet have become an inseparable part of human life, the issue of cybersecurity threats has gained increasing importance. Among the most common and damaging forms of such threats is the computer virus. A computer virus can be defined as a type of malicious software program that, much like a biological virus, has the ability to replicate itself and spread from one host to another, often without the knowledge or consent of the user. These programs are designed with harmful intent and can cause a wide range of problems—from slowing down system performance and corrupting files to stealing sensitive personal data and even rendering entire systems inoperable. PHILOSOPHY - CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME

 Capacity Building Programme  As part of the B.Ed curriculum under the paper EDU-01: Knowledge and Curriculum – Philosophical and Sociological Perspectives, the Natural Science Department organized a capacity-building programme on 03/12/2025. The session focused on Women Empowerment, highlighting the inspirational life of India’s legendary boxer Mary Kom. The team—Sandra, Devendu, Amrutha, and Soliha—planned and prepared the presentation by collecting authentic information and photographs of Mary Kom. A concise and visually appealing PowerPoint was created to narrate her journey.During the session, Amrutha presented the motivating story of Mary Kom, covering her early life, struggles, major achievements, and her role as a symbol of courage and determination. The presentation emphasized how Mary Kom’s life embodies the true spirit of women empowerment. The programme was impactful, informative, and inspiring. WORLD AIDS DAY

  World AIDS Day Observation at GCTE – Awareness Assembly & Rally On December 1, the Natural Science Association GENESIS of GCTE organized a meaningful World AIDS Day program to promote awareness and empathy regarding HIV/AIDS. The assembly began with a prayer by Sneha (I B.Ed.), followed by an informative session by Sandra and Amrutha (I B.Ed.), who explained HIV/AIDS, its transmission, symptoms, detection, treatment options, and the need to overcome stigma. Devendu further discussed the significance of the Red Ribbon as a symbol of solidarity with people living with HIV/AIDS. Dr Rajashree (Associate professor) then addressed the importance of observing World AIDS Day and briefed the students about the upcoming rally. Red ribbons were distributed, and students were guided on how to wear them correctly.
